Alex Warren's Ferrari 488 GTB Transformation with Vorsteiner and Voodoo Design
YouTube star Alex Warren recently upgraded his Ferrari 488 GTB with parts from Vorsteiner, PureTurbos, 5150 Racing, and Voodoo Design to create an impressive feat of engineering. The upgrades improve the aesthetics, aerodynamics, and performance of the car while also producing an aggressive exhaust sound. Let’s explore these upgrades and how they work together to make this Ferrari 488 GTB a force to be reckoned with.
The first step in transforming this Ferrari 488 GTB was the Vorsteiner Carbon Aero kit to improve aerodynamics and aesthetics. This kit included new front lip splitters, side skirts, rear diffusers, rear winglets, and more. All these components were made from high-quality carbon fiber for superior strength and lightweight performance. The result is an impressive look that conveys speed and power without sacrificing any of the original design elements of the car.
Next up was a set of beautiful Vorsteiner VFA-106 wheels that enhanced the car's aesthetics while providing improved handling performance. These wheels feature a unique spoke design that maximizes airflow through the wheel spokes for enhanced cooling during hard driving. They are also made from lightweight materials to reduce unsprung weight and improve overall handling characteristics. Combined with the carbon fiber components, these wheels provide an impressive look that will turn heads wherever Alex drives this incredible machine.
In addition to aesthetic upgrades, several performance modifications have been added further to increase the power output of this Ferrari 488 GTB. Our Voodoo Design Charge pipes, constructed out of 6061 aluminum, have been installed to replace failure-prone OEM ABS plastic charge pipes. These pipes help reduce air restriction and increase airflow between the intercooler and intake manifold to help produce more power.

Our Voodoo Design Methanol Injection Kit was also included to lower intake temperatures and allow for more boost pressure, resulting in increased power output without modifying the engine's internals. Furthermore, a Voodoo Design Exhaust was installed along with Voodoo Design Cat Bypass Pipes, providing maximum exhaust flow while producing a high-pitched sound that will turn heads wherever it goes! Finally, an ECU Tune from 5150 Racing was added to complete this package by allowing fine-tuning of the vehicle’s parameters, such as boost levels, fuel mixture ratios, and so on, to maximize power output without sacrificing reliability or drivability.

The last upgrade is perhaps one of the most impressive, drastically increasing power output. This upgrade includes Pure Turbos PURE1000 Turbochargers, which replace the factory turbochargers with larger compressor wheels and housings to significantly boost power output without sacrificing efficiency or reliability. The end result is an increase in power output from 661HP up to nearly 1000HP at the crank!

Pure Turbos PURE1000 turbochargers for the Ferrari 488GTB feature improved efficiency and durability to produce substantial power gains while maintaining factory-like drivability. The OEM stock turbos have weak turbine wheels/shafts that are known to break with minor bolt-on upgrades. These upgraded units replace the brittle stock wheels with high-grade Inconel shafts.
